The Research On Ecnomic Development Of Longdong Region Based On Regional Competitiveness

With the rapid economic globalization and regional economic integration, how to strengthen the attractiveness and effective allocation of resources, acquire and maintain regional self-competitive superiority, promote the rapid development of regional economy, become an important task for every region in the process of future development of economy. Therefore, the study of regional competitiveness of the countries has attracted unprecedented attention from scholars, government and business organizations, and has become an important research topic in the field of regional economic development.Longdong region is rich in energy resources and its location advantages are obvious, but the economic development level is lower than that of the provincial level. Firstly, this thesis firstly sorts out the theoretical system of regional competitiveness, and then analyzes the basic competition conditions of Longdong region, and constructs the evaluation index system of regional competitiveness, carries out a scientific and reasonable evaluation on regional competitiveness of Longdong region; and accordingly put forward the ideas and countermeasures for economic development of Longdong region finally.The thesis is divided into 6 parts, The first part is introduction to clarifying the research background, significance of the study, literature review at home and abroad, study thoughts, methods and contents of the thesis. The second part refers to the theoretical system of regional competitiveness. This part defines the concept and connotation of region and regional competitiveness, and then illustrates its theoretical foundation, including regional economic theory, comparative economic theory, competition theory, international trade theory and so on. What's more, this part finally introduces some typical research model of the regional competitiveness at home and abroad. The third part is the analysis of the basic conditions of Longdong regional competition. Based on the simple introduction of Longdong regional profiles, this part analyze the strengths and weaknesses.of regional competition of Longdong region.The fourth part is the evaluation of the regional competitiveness of Longdong region, which involves three aspects. The thesis selected 53 evaluation indicators from three major aspects such as basic competitiveness, core competitiveness and environmental competitiveness and then using the basic principles of Gray correlation analysis method to build evaluation model of comprehensive regional competitiveness. Based on the collection of indicator data, the thesis finally applied the evaluation model to make a quantitative evaluation and measured a regional competitiveness index .The fifth part is the countermeasures of economic development of Longdong region. According to the specific circumstances of Longdong region, this part put forward eight specific measures systematically for economic development of Longdong region. The last part summarizes the content of the thesis and then pointed out the limitation to the study and shows the suggestions for future research.
