Kunming Tourism Satellite Account (2008) And Empirical Analysis

Kunming is a famous tourist city. Kunming Tourism Administration in 2009 released a report that in the year of 2008,the total tourism income of Kunming is 19,711 billion yuan.It shows that the Kunming tourism industry plays an important role in kunming's economy,and is an important pillar industries in national economy.Kunming TSA measures the impact of tourism in the kunming's economy.It shows that in 2008 tourism continued to be an important part of the Kunming's economy both in terms of GDP and employment. Tourism also benifited non-tourism industries.The tourism value added in 2008 reached 9.23 billion yuan , accounting for 5.75% of total value added.The indirect tourism value added was 14.42 billlion yuan, accounting for 8.98% of total value added.And then this paper constructs the tourism input-output table of Kunming city,which referred TSA's industrial scope.On this basis, I analyse tourist industrial structure and apply the input-output characteristic method to estimate the consistency on tourism and non-tourism industry with some related suggestions for future improvements.
