Jinan Metropolitan Spatial Organization

Since the 80s of the 20th century, along with the global extension of industrialization and the great change between economic organizations, the increasing regionalization of urban development and the increasing urbanization of regional development have become the main trends of urban and regional development in the global, thus forming a phenomenon called "group of regional cities". The spatial structure of Jinan Metropolitan is a result of evolution in particular geographical conditions and specific socio-economic environment. Making spatial organization of Jinan Metropolitan reasonable and optimal is related to whether the cities and region can realize sustainable development.Setting from basic theories of urban spatial organization and related researches and the social and economic development status of Jinan Metropolitan, the author firstly analyzes the fractal characteristics of spatial structure of Jinan Metropolitan. We find that although the highway network between cities and towns is better, so is the correlation between cities and towns, but the spatial structure shows scattered of the overall; although the major cities and towns inside the circle are gathering around Jinan, but the clustering is not very strong.Then, We explore the evolution of spatial structure of Jinan Metropolitan and influencing factors. By its own and external and regional interaction factors, Jinan Metropolitan shows the mobility of economic center, the stages and regional of spatial economy distribution and other characteristics. The space structure of Jinan Metropolitan requires further optimization.Later, we mainly analyzes the spatial organization of Jinan Metropolitan using economic contact method. Based on the amount of economic links between cities, De-Ji-Tai axis and Bin-Zi-Lai axis and Liao-Ji-Zi axis are three major Economic Zone. According to the amount and the membership of economic ties, Jinan Metropolitan is divided into four circles:nuclear circle, inner circle, intermediate circle, outer circle.Finally, hoping for play a guiding role in future development and construction of Jinan Metropolitan, Jinan Metropolitan should be optimized from the internal and external space, and also from organization or system or environment strategies.
