The most important aspect of enterprises is scramble for the required resources of their survival and development of enterprises, the competitiveness of enterprises is the ability of enterprises to compete for resources. Traditional competitive theory still can not make a satisfactory answer of the long-term ups and downs of Enterprise. However, the theory of the core competitiveness study the ability of optimal allocation of resources of enterprises from the short-term extends to long-term. And point out that in order to make sure the survival and development of corporate sustainability, we must have more ability of optimal allocation of resources. In other words, companies must have strong core competitiveness. Core competence is the accumulation of knowledge within the organization, which is about how to coordinate a variety of production skills and integrate knowledge of different technologies. The core competence of the insurance company is formed by the long-term business process, and it combines the business skills and knowledge. The core competence can help the insurance company has a long-term competitive advantage, so that the insurance company can achieve sustained, rising profits on the basis of stability.This paper analyzes the basic status and characteristic of China's insurance, and analyzes the basic status and characteristic of core competence of China's insurance company based on SWOT, and then seeks the factors of core competence of insurance company according to the insurance company's own particularity. Next studies the methods of evaluation of the core competence, and then adopts the structural equation model to evaluate the core competence according to the insurance company's own particularity. According to the most advantage of the structural equation model, it can handle and test the complex relationship between indicators and latent variables and among latent variables effectively, this paper obtain the sort result of the core competence of China's insurance company, and find the results can well meet the actual situation of the year. And then this paper gives some recommendations to raise the core competence of China's insurance company.The main work and contributions of this paper is mainly reflected in the following aspects: (1) Based on fundamental principles of index selection, build the index system of the core competitiveness of the insurance company according to the insurance company's own particularity.(2) Evaluate the core competence by structural equation model creatively according to the insurance company's own particularity.(3) Evaluate the core competence of China's insurance company by the structural equation model, which reflect of the core competence of China's insurance business level truly and completely.
