To the small low-profit enterprises obstructed in the bottleneck of development, developing a strategy that match the actual situation for the enterprise is the primary step to break through. According to the analysis on OD Digital Printing Company, some appropriate methods and principles are applying to the strategic diagnosis for the small low-profit firms.PEST model is used to analyze macroeconomic policy and economic environment, technological development status and trends, and solve the issues of principle from a macro viewpoint.Perceiving a market structure enable enterprises make clear the composition of competitors. Practical experience has shown that in different market structures, there is different competitive strategy. Therefore, the judge will help the firms make a right choice.Porter's Five Forces model helps to analyze competition in the industry, find the strengths and weaknesses of market participants and assess the impact of these participants correctly.Based on the analysis of these internal and external factors, some optional strategies could be list and assessed by using the SWOT analysis model, and make appropriate recommendations.The use of Causality Analysis locates the problems, find the causes of the problems and fully assess these causes in order to confirm the formulation and implementation of the strategy.After these analysis, assessment and full discussion with managers, a company-wide mission and a business-level strategy could be developed. To ensure the operability of the strategy, Ansoff Matrix is used to help companies execute a correct path. In marketing, the STP, 4Ps and other marketing theories are used and in the management, suggestions for the corporate governance structure, organizational structure,staff motivation and other issues have been made.According to the aforementioned theories and research ideas, the author presents a company-wide mission- " a practitioner focused on digital printing technology " and a 3-year business strategy - " double existing business in current markets, survive new markets by new business," Considering the differentiation strategy is the most important competition strategy in a monopolistic competition market , the author also helps OD company to research differentiation factors from the fields on product level, marketing methods and internal management, and finally gain competitive advantage. Chasing a Niche market and guiding by Blue Ocean Strategy, the author also advice OD company to enter the consumer decoration materials market as a more long-term goal.The approach for strategic diagnosis is available, but there is no established formula for strategy itself. Small low-profit enterprises must pay attention to their weaknesses of lack of resources and poor risk resisting capabilities. Based on scientific diagnostic methods, they have to objectively recognize the external environment and the internal capacity, develop the most appropriate enterprise strategy and implement it.
