S Engine Development Project, Supplier Quality Control

With the development of production socialization, production activities is tending to more detailed division, higher degree of specialization, and wider cooperation. Outsourcing has been becoming one of the most important factors in the production process of an enterprise, and correspondingly, the quality control about outsourcing is also becoming one of the most important works during the quality control of products. Therefore, how to realize and enhance the quality control of products provided by suppliers is increasingly growing into a significant problem which quality managers of an enterprise have to face up to.Aero-engine is called as'the heart of aircraft', and'Crown Jewels'of modern industry. Development of aero-engine features creation and exploration with huge investment, high risk and long period. The leading departments are always supported by plenty of product suppliers during the development of S aero-engine. As the leading departments, to strengthen the quality control about outsourcing, improve the management level of product supplies and their product quality is extremely important to the development of defence weaponry and equipment.This thesis took quality control of product suppliers who serve S aero-engine development as the start point of the research, deeply analyzed the existing drawbacks in project supplier quality control, and gave the corresponding solution strategy, combined with the requirements from the military products. And based on these, an integrated improvement project, including quality management system of series project suppliers and performance evaluation methods of suppliers, was formed and the validity of this project has been demonstrated by several cases of project supplier evaluation.
