Inbound logistics of automobile parts is the logistics activities of auto Manufacturer under the need of production, management and strategic goals based on quickly and timely provision of goods and organize automobile parts. Whereas, inbound logistics as the large number of parts involved, the overall rhythm of mutual coordination and collaborative features that require high, is recognized as one of the key links of system healthy and continue to optimize the operation.Milk run is an optimized logistics system network, which featured multi-frequency, low-volume, time. Whereas, the character of cars when they assembly is by time, and quantity. So, we pick up Milk run to the inbound of automobile parts is feasibility. This paper analyzed the advantage, the need to pick up application and the conditions of Milk run, and proposed car manufacturing plant with Milk run inbound logistic mode instead of the traditional inbound logistics mode. And from the operational level, parts characteristics, the existence of empty transport, transportation features, carriers, inventory levels of these angles compared to Milk run inbound logistic mode and traditional inbound logistics mode. Then, according to the result, we point out the drawback of traditional inbound logistics mode. Meanwhile, according to the quantity demand and suppliers and geographical distribution between automobile assembly plant with different shipments. We designed three different parts inbound logistics modes, namely, do not set the local storage system of local milk run supplier direct-station of the parts inbound logistics mode, set the local warehouse and foreign suppliers milk run parts inbound logistics mode and set the local storage warehouse and distribution center field combined Milk run foreign suppliers into the parts inbound logistics mode.Another key issue on using Milk run inbound logistics mode is optimize the route. The paper pick up the route through mathematical modeling and use improved C-W algorithm to solve the model, obtained after optimization pickup route, and gives examples. At the end, through a domestic vehicle manufacturer to research, this paper is designed into the inbound logistics mode is applied to auto manufacturer in inbound logistics, and test the feasibility and economy into Milk run inbound logistics.
