This paper focuses on studying the digital signal modulation modes based on time-frequency analysis. Modulation recognition is of great significance in both military and civil fields. In military field, it plays an irreplaceable role in Electronic Warfare and Electronic Scouting, while in civil field, it serves as one of the core techniques used in non-cooperative communications, such as signal affirmance, disturbance recognition, and spectrum management, etc. In addition, modern communications are based on multi-bands, multi-purpose and multi-system, so modulation modes recognition proves important. Discussed in this paper are the modulation modes of digital signals, their modulation characteristics and the features of some main methods of time-frequency analysis. The author also brought out some modulations of several parameters. On the foundation of this, a model of time-frequency analysis is proposed based on the features of MASK modulated signals, MPSK modulated signals, and MFSK modulated signals. Then one model is concluded. After carefully modulation, it is authorized that the modulation model is feasible.
