| With the continuous progress of modern science and the intensifying trend of information globalization,the logistics management information system,which is based on the computer and network technology,has grown from its embryonic development into a more sophisticated stage,proceeding towards the direction of high standard,high efficient and high scale.Driven by the expansion of the business world, the increasement of the number of warehouse and the demands of information sharing, the logistics management information system has posed stricter requirements on data storage and management.To meet the various demands of different industries,the database technology has presented several research focuses,among which is the development of the distributed database.Those features of the geographical distribution,the logical integrity and the site autonomy of distributed database,can meet the demands of the logistics management information system,and when being applied into the logistics industry,the distributed database can carry out complicated management by gathering the information from the sub-warehouse of the third-party logistics companies,thus saving human and material resources and increasing business efficiency.This article carried out a research of the logistics warehouse management system PowerWMS developed by a company in Shanghai.Based on the original model,and by analyzing the businesses applications,functions and module structure of the system, as well as through combining the overall deployment of the system by Oracle distributed database technology,the PowerWMS is designed to be a distributed database with one central warehouse site and several sub-warehouse sites.At the same time,it makes the sub-ware-house only store the data of its own by employing the horizontal fragmentation and vertical fragmentation technology for data partitioning,so as to reach the highest level of locality in its applications.The entire system uses C/S and B/S mixed structure to maintain each sub-warehouse site's autonomy and the logical integrity of businesses.This article discusses detailly some of the key technologies in the applications of Oracle distributed database,for example,making use of the Oracle linking technology to connect each sub-storage site's database server so as to make users of different warehouse to access other remote databases;achieving the location transparency of the system through those technologies of synonyms,views and storage processes;reducing the transmission of information throughout the network and raising the system response speed by analyzing the technology of remote data query optimization; providing the up-to-date information to business analysis and decision-making by rational use of the copy technology to gather the information from the sub-warehouse into the central sever;and lastly,this article studies the security of distributed database so as to provide technical protection for enhancing the system integrity and reliability. |
