Design And Implementation Of The Adaptive Learning Testing And Evaluation System

With the development of the computer network technology and multimedia technology, Network Teaching is increasingly being accepted. Online testing is an important component of the Network Teaching. It not only realizes Traditional examination with no paper, but also efficiently tests out the students'level of the current study. The author was based on the "literary theory-guided" courses, studied the design of adaptive Learning, testing and evaluation systems, and actually developed the system. Through the actual operation, The purpose is useful exploration for the Network Teaching.This paper first introduces the theories which the system design is based on. The theories include learning theory and classical test theory. Secondly the author designed a questionnaire for the adaptive learning ,testing and evaluation systems, taking the Literature students of Central China Normal University as subjects.After making statistical analysis to the investigation results, the author designed the adaptive system platform from the learning and testing aspects. Learning and testing is a holistic concept. Test can detect the state of the learner's learning, but the learning function is not strong. The author add the necessary learning based on the test, facilitate the learners to study and test. It is known as the learning and testing. And the adaptive mainly is embodied in two aspects of composing test paper and paper making. In composing test paper, the author designed three models' tactic of generating test paper. These three models were self-service learning and testing model,course learning and testing model and selection learning and testing model. The self-service learning and testing model meet the learning and testing needs of learners who learned one and more chapters. The course learning and testing model provided learning and testing services for learner in this time when a semester is coming to an end. The selection learning and testing model provided learning and testing services in order to make advantages for learner in competition of Graduate Record Examination. In paper making, we continued to use man-machine way to make paper. We used machine to automatically make paper for objective questions, and for subjective questions ,we need teachers make paper. Besides, In evaluation, we use qualitative and quantitative ways to make Comprehensive evaluation for learners, and designed a students evaluation table.After designed, we used ASP.NET+SQL programming technology, combined with Visual Studio2005, Microsoft SQL Server2005, Dreamweaver MX 2004 and other software to develop modules such as user, adaptive learning, adaptive testing, data statistical analysis, test Management, etc. Finally, we also tested the platform, and make some descriptions for existing problems and improvements in the future.
