LCD brightness enhance film is new type of optical film came forth with Liquid Crystal Display, which is widely applied on the fields of consume electron, communication, telecommuting and so on. The birth of LCD BEF Film resolved such problem as higher energy consumption, weaker display luminance and lower utilization rate of light, it improved final using rate of backlight from original less than 10% to 90% above.The popular name of brightness enhance film is, BEF, which is denominated by the first prism film 3M invented. On prism film, exact prism structures of crylic acid are form on polyester base through micro-reprography and film technology, special prism structure have recycle using for backlight many times. Furthermore, 3M also developed multilayer optical film, which construct of hundreds of film of namo level and each different layer with different material property for reflecting light control.3M VikuitiTM optical films mainly classify as the following three types of BEF prism film, multilayer DBEF(Dual Brightness film) and multilayer ESR (Enhanced Specular Reflector). Followed by LCD cost down, backlight factory seek lower price BEF film and its'substitution, therefore, primary competition for BEF optical film faced are development of new products of high optical performance and attractive price. In this report, we will study product structures, physical property, optical property and operation principles spread around 3M VikuitiTM optical films, and demonstrate local qualification process for cGD of new type of BEF optical film. Through comparison study with competitive optical film, we will verify competitive ability in market.Normally, web transportation and tension control can not be deviated from optical film production line, it's crucial segment in each individual process. However control zone determination and control strategy selection are uppermost steps for web tension control. According to difference of each individual process of web line, this report will show how to determine web control zone and how to do an effective web tension control based on BEF laminating process. Besides aim to curl issue of BEFIIIM2, we will demonstrate solution through total process analysis and experimental test.
