Time delay lies in system's state variables and is general for real world nonlinear systems. In recent years, the research on time-delay chaotic systems has been a hot topic with the virtues of infinite state space and simple structure and high uncertainty. It has great theoretical and practical significance.At present, many important improvements have been achieved in time-delay feedback controlling. Most of the research is simulation results based on the computer. However, simulation could bring fake chaotic phenomenon. Consequently, realizing chaos by hardware circuits has become more important and urgent. This paper is aimed to hardware realization of time-delay chaotic controlling. After analysis of current international and domestic research, analog chaotic system, algorithm and circuit of digital chaotic system have investigated.The detailed work are investigated as follows:(1) Generalizing the recently research achievements of time-delay systems. The time delayed feedback control, anticontrol of chaos and analog circuit implementation are included.(2) Simulating and board-level realizing the time-delay chaotic controlling. Problems about analog circuit implantation have also been proposed. As for Lorenz chaotic system, circuit simulation, PCB debugging and analysis for Cuomo circuit have been done.(3) Proposing a difference discrete method. By applying such discrete method, similar chen's attractor has been obtained in the Matlab soft-ware simulation. A difference discrete method turned the continuous Lorenz system equation into discrete equation, and turned differential operation into adder and multiplication, which decrease calculating load.(4) Based on DSP Builder, doing algorithm-level simulation for time-delay Lorenz system. Expected results have been developed by applying the DSP Builder. (5) Similar chen's attractor and typical Lorenz attractor have been successfully observed on FPGA hardware board. FPGA developing board and 12 bit D/A converter sub-board have been designed and time-delay Lorenz system has been realized by lots of efforts.
