For the past few years, Transdermal Drug Delivery Systems has been well valuedby both domestic and abroad medical research institutions and pharmaceuticalcompanies due to its particular and effective treatment. It has a potential and widedeveloping prospect in the international pharmaceutical market. With the deep studyof TDDS mechanism and the successive development of various penetrationtechniques, significant breakthrough has been made in the drug using, matrix andother accessories of TDDS. Moreover, on account of the great economic and socialbenefits, it is inevitable that the production equipment for shaping tends toindustrialization, automation and intellectualization.Following the development tendency of TDDS, this study puts forward a designproposal of automatic control system of Babuji for coating, which is based on digitalimage processing. According to the spatial and temporal correlation of pixels and thefuzziness of character boundary, the theory of Fuzzy Pattern Recognition is embeddedin the system design. By means of analyzing, processing and recognizing the data ofdigital video (complying with ITU- R BT.601 standard), that is converted by the videodecoder ADV7181B, the feedback control signals are output successfully.In order to achieve a closed-loop automatic control system for coating, EP2C35FPGA of Cycloneâ…¡series is applied in this design, programming with Verilog. All ofthe design and simulation are carried out on the platform of Quartus II. The results oftiming simulation shows that the accuracy of fuzzy pattern recognition in digitalimage signals is up to 90%, which can guarantee standards-compliant.This topic on the design of automatic control system of Babuj for coating, notonly makes a exploratory attempt for the realization of automatic molding of TDDS,but also expands the applications of the fuzzy pattern recognition theory in the field ofdigital image processing. It will provide a positive reference for the futureindustrialization of production equipment for shaping.
