Design And Implementation Of The Online-bookshop

Along with the development of computer science and internet, shopping on-line, as a typical e-commerce model, has been exposed to most individual's life and has brought people convenience. Although e-bookshop has just got started in China, it develops in a fast way. There would be an increasing number of customers who rely on e-bookshop, thereby enhancing the potential of the market. People used to go to conventional bookshops to purchase books that they are after. However, in these a couple of years, e-commerce in China tend to be more practical. A new generation of e-bookshop becomes very necessary and feasible. Online-bookshop system enables people to purchase books in distance.The author took part in the designing and developing of the online-bookshop during the period of his work on the paper, including requirement analyzing, preliminary design, detailed design, implementation and so on. In this paper, firstly background of online-bookshop systems would be introduced. Following that, a detailed demand analysis regarding the online-bookshop system would be carried out with related e-commerce theory. This paper has mainly designed the online-bookshop, modeling on Browser/Server developmental techniques, dynamic network technique such as ASP.NET, ADO and Script techniques in Web database. It is decided that the design of the system is based on ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2005. Also, major difficulties that have been encountered as well as solutions would be discussed in this paper. Finally, the characteristics, the advantages and the disadvantages of the online-bookshop are summarized. Future development and application perspective are also given.The system is based on B2C e-commerce website model. It integrates customer's browsing, purchasing as well as administrator's information management regarding the books. Basically, this system is able to achieve general requirements of a typical e-commerce website.
