Research On Pxi Data Communication Interface Module's Software System

Data communication interface module is an indispensable part of data bridge connection between PXI host and user's function module. Design of data communication interface has high actual application value. Our team carries out a design plan of data communication interface module which uses TMS320C6205 as key processor. With sufficient experiments, this plan has been proved to be feasible.Basing on analyzeing the lasted PXI and PCI specifications, our team develops a data communication interface module working on PXI/PCI bus. Two mainly part of the research's contents are software design and hardware design of the communication module. Software design includes design of program working on DSP,device driver under Windows XP and control software. Hardware design includes design of PXI/PCI bus interface,DSP function module and peripheral devices. I am mainly responsible for software system design of data communication interface.This paper is divided into five chapters, will give introductions about both hardware platform and software system of data communication interface. Design of program which works on C6205,device driver,control software also will be discussed in details.First chapter is exordium. Chapter two analyzes PXI and PCI standard. Chapter three analyzes the characters of C6205 chip and C6205 system, introduces the design of programs working on C6205. Chapter four gives detailed introduces about data communication interface's driver and control software. The last chapter is a summary, pointing out the work I have done and what data communication interface module needs to be perfected.
