Implementation of AR on mobile devices is the mobile augmented reality (MAR). In currently time, most MAR methods focus on the visualization of the objects which exist in the camera view. Because of the limitations of camera, it is impossible to display all the information on the screen of mobile devices. Therefore, off-screen object visualization is only way for the development of mobile augmented reality. The traditional off-screen visualization methods display plenty of objects in the center of screen. These objects would block each other that would affect the experience of the users.Motivated by this problem, we provide a new off-screen visualization method, the method is different from the traditional method which shows the objects in the center of screen, according to the HCI thesis, and on the edge of screen we add the off-screen objects. The method fully used the screen and gives the user directly feeling. Second, the method relies to geography information and sensors, rather than visual, it is pervasive and comprehensive. At last, we develop a standard to evaluate the advantages of visualization method, then we compared the traditional method and the new method. According to the test we prove the superiority of new method. To sum up, our key contributions in this thesis are as follows:A new off-screen method is introduced. The method can be easily used. The best method of off-screen visualization is definited. According to the test we compare our new method and traditional method.A fast method of screen object visualization is-introduced.With experiment in real world, we test the data and discuss the better method.
