At the novel, Writers explore the topics of the life's birth and the death, consider the meaning of life, tortured the soul, attention the living environment of the life, these are all the life consciousness of the Writers. In the creation of literature, the writer will more or less full their own understanding of life into it, because the creative process is the performance of the author's thoughts and feelings. When I read Ba Jin's novels, I can deeply appreciate his concern for the individual lives, his understanding of the life constitutes a picture of his novels. The understanding of life's birth and death is the most fundamental of life consciousness. My paper is mainly analyzing Ba Jin's novels from the two aspects. Life consciousness of Ba Jin's novel are first embodiment of the love for life and pursuit life's liberty, Ba Jin examine the society from people's perspective, evaluate the person, critical the old tradition of ethical and behavior from the scale of freedom an kind, express the person's needs in his inner value,He shape a series of colorful and enrich life according to him own understanding of the life value They have enduring value in destroying the evil of human nature and in guiding the perfect of life. Ba Jin not only write ideal in his novels, he also concern about the present and have courage to face reality, he shaped the image who had many defects are very successful, their reality value is very small, but at the aesthetic level they are vivid. Their loneliness and sorrow reflect the necessary of life vest. Ba Jin's novel has shown that his creative route was the selection between attribution and self. Death is one of the important subject of Ba Jin's novels, The death make his novels covered a sense of the tragedy and the depression, Bourgeois revolutionary's death is a bit absurd, but their "not afraid" attitude under the authority of the absurd, and they are optimism before the death, give the absurd life the meaning of life. Trough analysing the life consciousness of Ba Jin's novel, I am in order to gain a deeper understanding of Ba Jin's novels.
