Study On The Neutral Form Connecting Heterogeneous Time And Space

The concept of art design Morphology started in the handicraft era and then formed in the industry era. It would be the focus of the art design realm that how this subject would develop and what effect its development direction would take on the art design and its education as time goes into the post-industrial era.The art design Morphology made up by points, lines, planes and their structural relations, formed in the industrial era, was based on the "dichotomy" of western philosophy, composed of point and line and face. But that concept can not meet the development of art design in the time background of Post-industrialization. To be consistent with the change of people's demand, art design mustn't be focusing on the function only, but turns to people's psychological and emotional needs, which progresses along a dematerial way.This article is studying on the neutral form by progressive analysis and synthesis, covering from theoretical basis to practical cases. The study of neutral form is proved to be of feasibility and necessity by analyzing the development process and present research result of art design Morphology.The neutral is of duality. The internal harmoniousness works when the neutral shows its state of unification of subject and object. It is out of control of the ideology and clearing up body itself in the process of harmonizing. The external harmoniousness works when the neutral does as dynamic link between the two poles of things.The "neutral form" evolved from "neutral", formed from the combinative method of categorizing the form, was equaled with "Zero form" and " ideology form" as "three state". We explained "neutral form" by describing the connotation of the "three state" and their relationships, and educing its formation ways by exposing its three implications.The formation ways of "neutral form" is on the principle of stereo and whole time space, which is different from the tradition. The design elements are seemed as organic living bodies which span time and spaces, east and west, science and art. The immediacy and simultaneity inject new vigor into contemporary art and also lead it to the direction of super-time space. Besides, it extends the research fields to the whole sensory for it is out of the limit of vision. The "neutral form" will initiate a new time of art design and its education for its excellent expressive force.Now it is in the primary research of the "neutral form". And a new view of the neutral form which has a guiding significant to Art Design and its education will be formed through a gradual progressing of combination of theory and practice.
