| <ShuoWen> is the first well-known dictionary in the history of Chinese Language and Literature, which analysisingthe shape, explaining the meaning of words, distinguishing the voice. It is the scripture book of studying the Chinese character during the 1800 years and becoming the significant material to study the Ancient Chinese.Zhou Wen, also known as"ZhouShu","DaZhuan","ShiShu", is a kind of character handed down from the late Western Zhou Dynasty to the early years of ZhanGuo Period. It is evolved from the JiaGuWen of the Shang Dynasty and the JinWen of the early Zhou Dynasty. It is created by the TaiShi, whose name is Zhou, and named for it. <HanShu·YiWenZhi> recorded fifteen posts of <ShiZhou>, BanGu note:"The TaiShi whose name is Zhou has creat fifteen Chapter.XuShen's <ShuoWenJieZI·Xu> also said it. <ShiZhouPian> is spread during the King of Xuan of Zhou Dynasty and it had been vanished for many years. However, according to <YiWenZhi>, Six of them had been vanished until JianWu year, it could be speculated that XuShen kown the the remaining.The XiaoZhuan of <ShuoWen> is ellipsised and developed on the basis of ZhouWen.There are difference in the shape between them. The ZhouWen saved in <ShuoWen> is the considerable material to research the book <ShiZhouPian>.The scholars had been started to research the ZhouWen since The Qing Dynasty, involving the sources of Zhouwen, the period of ZhouWen, the feature of the font. The research abou the comparison of XiaoZhuan and ZhouWen was rarely seen.This paper analyzes the 216 ZhouWen included in <ShuoWen>. The theory of"LiuShu"and Configuration of Chinese character were used to compare The ZhouWen with XiaoZhuan. The article is divided into six chapters. Chapter One is an Introduction, which includes a summary of ZhouWen, the purpose and significance of the topics, the summary of Literature, research methods of the paper, and so on; Chapter Two describes the book <ShuoWenJieZi> and the author XuShen; Chapter Three defined the concept of ZhouWen, and explain the six style how to gloze the ZhouWen; Chapter Four introduced the theoretical method used in the chapter; Chapter Five comprehensively analysis the ZhouWen. Compare the ZhouWen with the XiaoZhuan from the angle of shape; Chapter Six is the conclusion of this research project. The main part of the article is compared Zhou Wen with the corresponding Xiaozhuan, which involved the comparison of a single Chinese character from the Synchronic point of view, also involved the comparison of the Chinese character system from the diachronic point of view .The article main used the traditional method of"LiuShu"and configuration of Chinese character proposed by Wang Ning. Summarized by the statistical data, the development law of Chinese Character in Xiaozhuan'period can be clearly summed up.The article analysised the Character relations between the ZhouWen and XiaoZhuan, which has some value in the studies of Chinese characters. The conclusions of the article can provide the revelation for the standardization of modern Chinese characters. |
