A Research On The Children's Poems Of Song Dynasty

Prosperous as the research and creation of modern and contemporary children's literature, the children's literary works in classical works, a large amount of excellent children's poems in particular, have been ignored for a long time, because children's literature as a subject was established late in China and in the meanwhile, encountered a narrow view of it. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a research on the children's poems in ancient China. In this paper, I review the history of the ancient Chinese children's poems and prove the oblivious existence of these poems in the history of China.The major object of this paper is the children's poems in Song dynasty, particularly those written by adults. Owing to the prosperity of politics, culture and philosophical thoughts in Song dynasty, children's poems thrived significantly. Through the analysis of the historical background and the interpretation of some representative poets and their poems, I categorize the children's poems in Song dynasty according to the subjects. In addition, by studying the writing artifice, the emotional keynote, the language style and the length of poems, I present the artistic features of the children's poems in Song dynasty. The achievement of these poems surmounts that of all the previous dynasties.Last but not least, I research on the writing of the children's poems in Song dynasty, revealing both the favorable elements for the improvement of these poems and their deficiency. All these could be helpful for the researchers of children's literature.
