Objective: To summarize the characteristics of color Doppler ultrasound resistance index RI in benign and malignant ovarian tumor and investigate the diagnosis values on benign and malignant ovarian tumor under the combination among the Finkler ultrasound score, ultrasound resistance index RI and ovarian tumor marker CA125.Materials and Methods: To sum up the clinical data from the 107ovarian tumor cases who are confirmed by a post pathological operation in this hospital from 2006 to 2010. The sufferers of the ovarian benign tumor are 65, while and the malignant tumor cases are 42. The supersonic inspection with color Doppler:To use GE-L9(US) and the SIEMENSD color Doppler (Germany) with the frequency of 2.5MHz-5.0MHz (abdominal probe), the 5MHz-7.5MHz (vaginal ultrasound probe) and the color transmission gain as the rate of 70% -80% . To mark on the images of two groups with the Finkler ultrasound score system, and measure the index of the blood flow resistance (RI) and serum CA125 as well; then we judge the benign and malignant ovarian tumor, and contrast the results with the pathological diagnosisResults: Obviously, the Finkler ultrasound score on the sufferers of ovarian malignant tumor is higher than that on ovarian benign tumor, while the value of RI on ovarian malignant tumor is lower than that on ovarian benign tumor and clearly, the CA125 on ovarian benign tumor is lower than that of ovarian malignant tumor. The CA125 on StageⅢandⅣovarian cancer is higher than those on Stage I and II. By means of the Finkler ultrasound score and the RI's combination with CA125, their diagnostic sensitivity and specificity on the benign and malignant ovarian tumor is higher than that of any single method. As a result, the sensitivity and specificity is 94.59% and 89.47% respectively.Conclusions: There is a difference among the Finkler ultrasound score in Benign and malignant ovarian tumor, resistance index RI and the CA125 value. Significantly, the combination among Finkler ultrasound score, RI and the tumor markers CA125 can improve the sensitivity and specificity of diagnosing on benign and malignant ovarian tumors.
