Objective: To detect the expression level of GRP78 in human gastrointestinal tumor tissues and investigate its clinical significance. Methods: Reversed transcript polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and immunohistochemistry were used respectively to detect the expression levels of GRP78 mRNA and protein. We also review the cases and try to approach the clinical significance of GRP78.Result: GRP78 are over-expressed in gastrointestinal tumor tissues both in mRNA and the expression of GRP78 has correlation with pathology types and clinical stages. Conclusion: GRP78 may has an important role in the carcinogenesis and development of gastrointestinal tumor, targeting the signal path GRP78 involved and suppressing the expression and function of GRP78 may become new ways to cure gastrointestinal tumors. |
