Abstract/Summary:
ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of pulp pressure on the immediate dentin sealing(IDS)and delayed dentin sealing(DDS).Methods4 caries-free teeth selected from patients with severe periodontitis. The center of lip(buccal) face of each tooth divided into two groups which mesial for DDS and distal for IDS. Each was grinded to remove the mesial enamel to exposure dentin under local anesthesia and temporarily resin restoration. The distal enamel was grinded to immediate sealing dentin after a week. Both sides were light-cures along with the subsequent layer of composite.2 freshly extracted teeth as control group. All of the bonded specimens were sectioned into uniform 1mm slabs and avoid light stored in ammoniacal silver nitrate solution 24h. Each group were observed adhesive interface by using scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Silver leakage width of each group were statistically analyzed.RusultsVital teeth-IDS and vital teeth-DDS were observed nanoleakage within between hybrid layers and dentin. There were significant difference in the dentin nanoleakage between two groups(P<0.05). Extracted teeth-IDS was observed nanoleakage within hybrid layers of resin-dentin interfaces different from vital teeth-IDS.ConclusionsNanoleakage of vital IDS is less than vital DDS technique. Leakage in vitro studies can not replace the vital teeth.
