The Clinical Observation Of Improving Gastrointestinal Symptoms In Chronic Renal Failure (pattern Of Damp) Patients By Reinforce Spleen And Benefit Kidney And Drain Damp

Objective Reinforce spleen, benefit kidney and drain damp to improve gastrointestinal symptoms in chronic renal failure (pattern of damp) patients, then observe the clinical effect and discuss its possible mechanism.Methods 40 patients who met the inclusion criterion were randomly divided into contrasted group (only took western medicine) of 20 patients and treatment group (added decocting medicinal herbs which could reinforce spleen, benefit kidney and drain damp) of 20 patients for a month s time. Observed these patients'disparity in primary symptom score of TCM, EGG amplitude, gastrin, renal function, blood lipids and 24-hour urinary protein between before and after of the treatment. Then did the data processed by applying medical statistics software SPSS16.0.Results (1) The synthesis efficiency of treatment group was 90%, which was much better than contrasted group of which was 60%(P<0.05). (2) Clinical symptom efficiency of TCM of treatment group was much better than contrasted group(P<0.05). (3) Clinical symptom score of TCM of two groups had all declined, compared before of the treatment with the after, treatment group had statistical divergence(P<0.05), contrasted group had statistical divergence(P<0.05), and treatment group had statistical divergence(P<0.05) compared with contrasted group of after the therapy. (4) Through analyzing EGG amplitude, Scr, BUN, LDL-C, TC, TG as well as 24-hour UPRO, compared with the before of treatment, treatment group had statistical divergence(P<0.05)after therapy, contrasted group had no statistical significance(P>0.05)after therapy, and treatment group was much better than contrasted group (P<0.05). (5) After therapy, treatment group and contrasted group had all improved in HDL-C, but no statistical significance(P>0.05)compared with the before of treatment. Conclusion Based on the standard treatement plan of western medicine, the method of reinforcing spleen, benefiting kidney and draining damp can significantly improve clinical symptoms of patients suffered from CRF (pattern of damp) maybe by increasimg EGG amplitude to promote stomach impetus, lowering Scr, BUN and UPRO, and adjusting blood lipid. This method has definite efficacy, of which the treating character is both branch and root, and without obvious by-effect. So it is worthy popularized and applied.
