| Background and objectivePolycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine diseases affecting fertile reproduetive women, and is the major cause of anovulatory infertility, and it is charaeterized by hyperandrogenism, chronic anovulatory cycles and oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea. PCOS infertility treatment is a treatment for ovulation induction. Pretreatment before ovulation induction, including weight loss, adjusting to a normal sex hormone levels, improve insulin resistance;ethinyl estradiol cyproterone acetate (Diane35) is currently the main clinical application of short-acting contraceptives to adjust the sex hormone drug.Infertile patients with PCOS over Diane35 to adjust to the normal sex hormones are directly interval of one cycle of ovulation induction or ovulation, at present there is no uniform clinical criteria. By exploring the topic of infertility patients with PCOS over Diane35 to normal levels of serum testosterone induced ovulation at different intervals on the follicle growth is designed to infertile PCOS patients a more appropriate time for ovulation induction treatment. The aim of the study was to compare the follicle growth in different intervals between Diane 35treatment and letrozole(LE) on the inductin of ovulation in patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS).Materials and MethodsThis trial was Performed in Reproduction Medicine Center of Shandong Province, Jinan City, Maternal and Child Health Hospital, sixty patients with PCOS (No difference was found in general status) from February 2009 to December 2009 were included. They were applied Diane 35 to enable the blood to normal levels of sex hormones. Thirty PCOS patienis were treated with ovulation induction after the application of cyproterone estradiol valerate a cycle of withdrawal bleeding,it is a long interval group. The number of follicles≥14mm in diameter, HMG dosage, appeared dominant follicle of time, endometrial thickness and cervical mucus score on HCG day were observed and compared with a short interval group which of 30 PCOS patients treated with infertility or menstrual cramps out after the Diane 35 month program to start the ovulation induction. The statistic alanalyses were Performed using SPSS 14.0 for windows statistical package.Measurement data are expressed idependent-samples T test, Enumeration data are expressed as%, chi-square test was used. The differences are considered to be statistically significant if P<0.05.Results1.There was no difference of taking Diane35 time.2.There was no difference of blood sex hormone levels between the two groups after taking Diane35.3.No difference was found in the time appeared dominant follicle, HMG dosage, endometrial thickness and cervical mucus score on HCG day, number of dominant follicle, ovulation rate in cycle, the pregnancy rate between the two groups. There were 6 case of two groups of clinical pregnancy, and the long interval group of five cases of pregnancy occurred in 2 cases of early spontaneous abortion. The remaining four cases of pregnancy in patients were normal pregnancy. The two groups, respectively, appeared in a non-ovulatory cycles, and the follicles were artificial perforation. One cases of mild ovarian hyperstimulat-ion syndrome appears in the long interval group. Statistical analysis of these data can not be done because of small number.ConclusionsEither long or short interval in patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, there are no effect on the time appeared dominant follicle,HMG dosage, endometrial thickness and cervical mucus score on HCG day, number of dominant follicle, ovulation rate in cycle and the pregnancy rate. |
