Shaanxi Province Apple Climate Suitable Thematic Divisions

Since the 80s of last century, global warming emerged as the main feature to climate change. Climate change will inevitably impact on the agriculture and forestry crops. Shaanxi Loess Plateau Region is an important district for apple produce. Either the total produetion or plant aera of apple are now ranked No.1 in china. The industry of apple now has become an important economic pillar for the economy in Shaanxi Province and occupies an important position in society. Many people corcerned what impact the climate change will give to the apple's development in shannxi. Under the background of the Third National Agricultural Climate Division, we used the advanced GIS technology to do the division work of apple. By the same way, we do the division work three times for different periods and at the end from the contrst of the results, we can study and analyse the changes impact to the apple from the climate. The different time aera are 1961 to 1990,1971 to 2000 and 1979 to 2008. Our work is very useful. From our work, we will know what the impact is and can give the right advices to guide the activities of production. Through the work, we found the conclusions, as:(1)The tension spline way can in good level describe the topography's impact on the climate factor.(2) Shaanxi fruit district has the trend of warming and drying in the past decades. The district generally becomes warming, and the north is stronger than the south, winter and sping is higher than fall and summer, at the end, the winter's warming is the biggest. Besides, the summer's hulidity in south is becoming higher and the north is brcoming lower.(3)The proper aera for apple's development is coming to the north and the higher places. This is good to the north plateau and bad for the south basin, In the past 20 years, the line of the most proper aera for the apple's development is moving about 26 km to the north.The north and the higher place is becoming better and better for apple's planting, and the south and the lower places are becoming worse and worse.(4) The climate's warming change from 90s since last century in shanxi fruit aera is immpertant reason for the proper apple aera moving toward north and mountain aera.In view of this, we believe that Apple should continue to coming to north Loess Plateau area is very right, we should continue to insist this policy. The change is coming, at the other hand, we give some suggestions or advices for the production activities.First, south from Great Wall at the north plateau we can expend the plant aera of apple to meeting the climate's warming. At the same time, the apple tree can climbing up to the mountain, with the returning farmlang to trees or grasses,we can achieve a win-win station between economy and environment.Second, at the south Guanzhong Plain or other lower districtc, the aera of planting apple should reduce.Third, we should give attention to prevention of the heat hazards and pests.With the warming, the heat hazards and pests are coming too.At the end,we should give another eye to the low-temperature disasters in the flowering time. Winter and sping's warm make the apple trees flowering earlier, and this increase the risk of cold.Climate change will make the existing agricultural production areas partial movement.
