A new-style automatic control system for the cocoon drying has been designed, according to the temperature variation during the drying period, to solve the presently existent problems of the controlling method and the maldistribution of the temperature during the cocoon drying period. The fluctuant range of the temperature of the system is required in±10℃, it is unrealizable depending on the conventional pyrology instrument and the mode of the handwork, therefore the cocoon drying automatic control system is developed in this paper.In the hard ware, AT89S51 single-chip microcomputer produced by America ATMEL Company is taken as the core, with the peripheral circuit to realize automatic in the system. There are many characteristics in the system such as: simple structure; high reliability and small investment.As the PID controlling method that was wildly used in the temperature control field, but the precision of the temperature was difficult to realize under the routine PID control, moreover the different PID parameter was used by the different controlling object, and not convenient in regulation. The fuzzy control method is present in the paper, and the non-linear control of specialists-like was realized on the basis of the experiece and knowledge of engineers. The design of double inputs and single output fuzzy controller is put forward in the paper, and it takes the temperature warp and the change rate as the double inputs and the entrance of the sirocco as the output to improve the control accuracy, safety and reliability of the system.In addition, the principle on the design of the hardware and software system is introduced in detail as well as the principle of the fuzzy control.It has been proved in the practice that all the guide lines of the demand are achieved, and the system operates stably, reliably and realize perfect cotrolling purpose.
