Objective: Plague is the most deadly infectious disease which causes by Yersina pestis, its popularity has brought serious disaster to humanity. Because ShanXi province has the history of plague epidemic, plague will be introducted or will happen anytime. Besides monitoring the plague which happens among mouse in Shanxi Province, using scientific analysis method to analyze mouse density, mouse type,epizoic parasite and experimental resuits in orde to find the relations between mouse density, mouse type,epizoic parasite endency and plague prevalence. It will provide scientific basis to. forewarn , prevents and controls plague epidemic in ShanXi province.Method: According to " Shanxi province plague monitor scheme " and " Shanxi province plague scheme implementing rules " We collect the datd including the mouse density, mouse type,epizoic parasite and experimental results of 12 monitored county during 1988~2005 .In the meantime we analyze the data using SPSS statistical method.Result: Monitoring data from 1988 to 2005 years analysis shows: Shanxi's Citellus dauricus average density is 1.25 pieces /hm2, the highest density is 1992 (2.74 pieces /hm2). Seven county Citellus dauricus average density multiple comparison, different area ground Citellus dauricus average density Non- all the same, PingLuQüCitellus dauricus average density is the highest in monitoring areas (P<0.05); The average density of Meriones meridianus is 9.10%, The highest density year is 2005 (14.64%), Five county Meriones meridianus average density multiple comparison, different area ground Meriones meridianus average density Non- all the same,BaoDeXian Meriones meridianus average density is highest in monitoring areas (P<0.05); Citellus dauricus density declines remarkably after 1998(P<0.05), Meriones meridianus dentisy changed little from 1988 to 2005, These two rats density remain at a relatively high level witch compared with the national standards; Citellus dauricus flea at body infection rate is 48.18%, rat-flea index is 0.89; Meriones meridianus flea at body infection rate is 59.34%, rat-flea index is 1.98; Citellus dauricus flea at hole infection rate is 3.23%, rat-flea index is 0.05; Meriones meridianus flea at hole infection rate is 59.34%, rat-flea index is 1.98; Citellus dauricus flea at nest infection rate is 3.23%, rat-flea index is 0.05; Meriones meridianus flea at nest infection rate is 59.34%, rat-flea index is 1.98; Iindirect hemagglutination test shows:78917 pieces of mice serum antibody are negative.conclusion: Monitoring data from 1988 to 2005 years analysis shows,Shanxi's rat density is higher than national standard, although Iindirect hemagglutination test are negative, But ShanXi province has the history of plague epidemic, its geographical,landforms,vegetation,host animal and flea are resemble to NeiMen,HeBei,Shanxi north area.
