The purpose of this study is to analyse the situation of the drug residue control in Sichuan Province and the short of the control measures for detecting drug residue to compare with developed countries.make the improvement suggestions and provide the scientific basis for perfecting the drug residue control of Sichuan Province, through investigating and studing the work on drug residue detection and the drug residue control measures in Sichuan Province from 2001 to 2004.Form 2001 to 2004, Veterinary Drugs and Feed Control Institute of Sichuan Province had detected 10 kinds of drug residue (Sulfanilamide, Clenbuterol Hydrochoride, Dimetridazole/Metronidazole , Enrofloxacin/Ciprofioxacin) from 4087 samples of pig liver, pig urine, chicken liver, chicken meat and milk in 12 cities of Sichuan Province with HPLC, ELLISA and GC/MS. The results showed that 164 samples were eligible, with the percentage of 4.01% among all the samples, in which Sulfanilamide, Dimetridazole/Metronidazole, Cabadox and Chloramphenicol were 6.30%, 30.51%, 18%, 1.72% respectively. The Feed Products Quality Monitoring Center of the Agriculture Ministry of China (Chengdu) detected 9 kinds of drug residue (Clenbuterol Hydrochoride, Diazepam and Furazolidone, etc) from 3234 samples of feed and water, and 15 samples were unqualified, which consisted of 0.46% of all. And the detectable rate of 4 kinds of drugs residue(Furazolidone, Diazepeam, Olaguindox and Chlortetracyline) were 0.46% , 0.89%, 1.10%, 2.22% respectively..The result of this study indicated : to implement "Special Administrition+Momitoring+Meat Security "has been made good results in Sichuan Pvovince. But there is the short from European and Amerian countries in which the source control and monitoring and eveluation of risk are paied attention.
