| Peony, a kind of special and famous flower in China, with a wide range of varieties, beautiful posture and magnificent looking, is one of the Ten Famous Flowers of China. Peony has a long history of cultivation, and during the long process of cultivation, it has formed a intraspecific variety in breeds under natural selection and artificial cultivation. Peony, with a resourceful breeds and a wide application, plays a magnificent role in circulation of flowers both in domestic and abroad. At present, however, owing to the lack of unified standards on seedlings which results in the disqualification of the quality and norm of nursery stocks and many disputes about this, the quality of the cultivation and international fame has been seriously damaged. So, the research on the standards of peony nursery stocks has great magnificence on the standardization of the quality and the production of peony, and on the enhancement of its international competitiveness. This paper mainly talks about the preliminary research on Peony seed grow seedling, peony root peony engraft seedling, tree peony root Peony engraft seedling, selection and grading of Peony individual grow seedling. And the results are as follows: (1) Grading the qualified seedlings into Grade One and Grade Two, according to their different index of the form; and on specific grading standards, if one index cannot meet the qualification, the seedling will be degraded. (2) The length of the branches of the tree peony root Peony engraft seedling and Peony individual grow seedling in the seeding period and the mature period grows at direct ratio, and the seedlings in these two period are graded into three types, High Type, Medium Type and Shot Type. (3) Regulating specifically on the seedlings index of the number, length and diameter of branches and main roots peony in different growing period. For annual peony seed grow seedlings, the diameter of branches and the length of main roots play a dominant role in grading the quality; for the biennial peony seed grow seedlings, the length of branches and the diameter of main roots play a dominant role in grading the quality; for three-year seed grow seedlings, the length and the diameter of branches, and the number, diameter and the length of the main roots have no obvious impact on grading the quality. (4) Regulating specifically on the seedlings index of the number, length and diameter of branches and the length and diameter of the anvils of different types of peony engraft seedlings. Of all the characters of the High Type peony root Peony engraft seedlings, the diameter of branches plays a dominant role in grading the quality; of all the characters of the Medium Type and Short Type of peony root Peony engraft seedlings, the character of branches plays a dominant role in grading the quality of the seedlings. Of all the characters of the High Type tree peony root Peony engraft seedlings, the length of main roots plays a dominant role in grading the quality of the seedlings; of all the characters of the Medium Type and Short Type tree peony Peony engraft seedlings, the character of branches plays a dominant role in grading the quality of the seedlings. (5) Regulating specifically on the seedling index of the length and diameter of branches and the length and diameter main roots of different types of peony individual grow seedlings. Of the characters of the three types of peony individual grow seedlings, the diameter of branches plays a dominant role in grading the quality of the seedlings. |
