Many agronomic traits in rice such as plant height (PH), heading date (HD), panicle number (PN) are quantitative traits. Which vary continuously and are controlled by polygenes. Generally, these polygenes have interaction with environment. We call them quantitative trait locus(QTL). It's important for improving agronomic traits and increasing yield to study QTL. In this study, 304 Recombinant Inbred Lines(RIL)population was applied to construct genetic map, which came from two XianDao lines Zhong156 and Gumei2. The main results as follow: 1. In the RIL polulation of 304 individuals, a linkage map consisting of 168 RFLP, RAPD, SSLP and RGA markers was constructed, which convered all of 12 chromosomes in rice. The total length of the map was 1447.9 centimorgan(cM). 2. The main effect QTL and epistatic QTL for plant height, heading date and panicle number were detected based on MAPMAKER/QTL 1.1b and QTLMAPPER 1.01. At the same times, interaction effect between QTL and environment was analysed. In addition, conditional QTL location for plant height and panicle number was made which excluded the effect of heading date. 3. In the unconditional QTL analysis, 15 QTLs were detected which including 7 QTLs for PH, 5 QTLs for HD and 3 QTLs for PN. They explated the varance individually 5.56%, 32.52% and 9.66%. Most additive effects came from the male parents. Of the total 15 QTLs, 6 QTLs had interaction effect with environment. At the same time, 10 additive×additive epistatic effects were detected. They explained individually the variance 12.12%, 1.38% and 5.00%. 4. In the conditional QTL analysis, 7 main effect QTLs and 6 dditive×additive epistatic QTLs for plant height, 3 mian effect QTLs and 3 dditive×additive epistatic QTLs for panicle number were detected. Compared the results of conditional QTL analysis with the results of unconditional QTL analysis, 2 QTLs for plant height had plus correlation with heading date. 4 QTLs for plant height and 2 QTLs for panicle number had negative correlation with heading date, others had no correlation with heading date. 5. Purpose of the QTL study is applying the results to rice breeding. Appropriate paths will be take in breeding according the character of plant, which will make breeding more speedily and effectively.
