With the development of electronic technology, Oscilloscope as a kind of electronic test equipment, has become an essential tool for test engineers. For digital storage oscilloscope, LCD display screen is the earliest and most direct part to users. So, Oscilloscope for display performance have become increasingly demanding. The one of design goal of DSO is the waveform displayed on the screen in a very fast pace. In order to achieve this requirement, We need to establish a stable and reliable hardware, display circuit, and the basic graphics library of oscilloscope, and then waveform display data are processed to meet the requirements on display performance. This not only reduces the burden of waveform data processing of the MCU, but also reduces data bus bandwidth, while correspondly increasding the hardware costs and bringing the complexity of hardware design.This paper mainly discusses the design the of 2Gsps digital storage oscilloscope display part, and detailed description of the hardware and software design of display module and waveform display data processing. mainly as follows:1. Hardware circuit design of display module: This paper presented two kinds of display program which is the PPI interface driver display screen and independent display refresh module, introduced the hardware circuit design of the display modules, with emphasis on the FPGA's internal function modules and interface function design.2. The part of software design of display module: Including the LCD display driver and the basic drawing functions design, and on this basis, establishedhe a basic graphics library of digital storage oscilloscope.3. Waveform display data processing: mainly included the waveform display data processing on the real-time, infinite twilight and alterable twilight unlimited mode.4. Analysis of test results: Verified the stability of an independent display update module circuit and analysised the test results of the digital storage oscilloscope in all display mode.
