Dynamic Path Planning For Traveler Information Services

To make up for the shortages of current traffic information, which has a bad instantaneity and accuracy, the research on dynamic route planning facing to travelers information service adopts a variety of information interaction modes, which can provide different schemes of dynamic route planning for different classified travelers. Thus traffic information can release to travelers more conveniently and speedily.Firstly, the traffic measured data are processed and the data of traffic flow, speed and occupancy which are gathered on each collection point are analysed. The difference of traffic flow among each collection point is compared. The daylong data on each collection point are also analysed, through the analysis, the shifty rules of traffic flow data can be found and the interrelationship among traffic flow, speed and occupancy can be discovered. After that, the design of the whole system is given in detail, including component, function, the specific roles and the design procedure of every part. Meanwhile, the characteristic which supply information service for travelers is embodied and five planning modes are given for cars. Besides, the design of dynamic route planning engine is illustrated abundantly. At last, the information exchange modes which can transfer the traffic information between system and travelers are designed particularly. The information exchange modes include short message service, voice service and email service. Thus, the system can provide multichannel and all-sided traffic information service for travelers.The research of the system has the important role in improving informatization and intelligence of the intelligent transportation system. It can make best effort to maximize the effectiveness of the traffic base installation and improve the quality of traffic service. The research of the system is propitious to realize the diversification of the information service. It can make travelers make use of the traffic base installation and energy sources efficiently. The research not only is a great help to solving the traffic jam, but also has a positive role in dealing with the traffic security problems.
