According to characters of the snow hazard and status of hazard, hua-north and northwestern region respectively through seventy thousand kilometer. Furthermore, we researched more deeply few of the grade highways in Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang and Xinjiang. At the same time, taking examination snowdrift and accumulations of the snow as main body, taking modeling of snowdrift in wind tunnel as subsidiary measurement, researchers gained a lot of dates, and built mathematics model and database about snow blowing.Based on quantity of snow, depth of accumulating snow, days of big wind and degree of highway snow hazard, we achieved sub area about highway snow hazard in Inner Mongolia,, and referred controlling measurements in different sub area.And we think controlling snow should obey design principle that transportation is regarded as main body, block is regarded as subsidiary measurement, and block is means, transportation is purpose. The controlling idea of highway snow hazard should set a idea of obeying natural, take full advantage of natural and correspond with nature.According to quantity analyses about measuring dates, the main factors influencing accumulation snow on surface of highway are height of roadbed and slope pattern. The second factors are controlling snow measurement, building and vegetation coverage. At the same time, we studied the mechanism of accumulating snow in different roadbed height and slope patterns.Taking kinds of control snow establishment for patterns, we got function principle, function effect and applying condition of six special control snow establishment and five combined establishment. At the same time, researchers designed ventilated snow-prevention wall, wing patter snow-prevention wall, the grass enclosuring and planting grass to amassment snow.
