As the main powerful weapon of land army, the armored vehicles are now threatened by various anti-armour weapons, especially by laser guided anti-armour weapons, and therefore it is necessary to study the technologies and tactics of countermeasuring laser guided anti-armour weapons to improve the defensive abilities of armored vehicles.The laser guided anti-armour weapons work with light, so Electro-Optical jamming techniques can be used to put down their battle effectiveness. Accordingly this thesis put forward a general design of active Electro-Optical defensive system for armored vehicles, and the design basis and further applications were also discussed. The main work of this thesis can be concretely described as follows:First, some Eletro-opitcal warning techniques and Electro-Optical jamming techniques suitable to armored vehicles were introduced. According to radiometric theory some key technical indexes were analyzed, including detective distance of the infrared warning systems, battlefield's surveillance range of laser warning systems in three interception modes(direct interception, scattering interception and diffuse reflection interception), power/energy demands respectively for the laser angular deception jamming systems, laser high repeat frequency jamming systems and laser blinding jamming systems. In order to guide the design of active Electro-Optical defensive systems for armored vehicles, the key technical indexes were calculated at typical conditions.Second, a general design of active Electro-Optical defensive systems for armored vehicles was presented based on the method of freely and rapidly configurable modularization, in which the main functions, information flow, technical indexes, software and hardware interfaces of submodules(including Eletro-opitcal warning modules, Electro-Optical jamming modules and signal processing and control modules) were generally described.Third, under the directions of conducting Electro-Optical countermeasures by multi-levels and multi-means, the tactics of using the amored vehicles equipped with active Electro-Optical defensive systems in different situations were discussed, such as single vehicle combat, group battle, gathering /on call, and important target defense, and some general principles and concrete deployment shapes were also proposed.
