Ultraviolet Detecting Technology And Its Applications In The Missile Approaching Warning System

The atmospheric transmission characteristics of UV are unique, which have made UV detecting technology been developed rapidly in the military application domain. Missile approaching warning system based on UV detecting technology is an important part of modern battlefield systems and playing more and more vital roles in the electro-optical countermeasure domain.This paper explored the principle of UV detecting technology and the detectors' structure and capability, introduced missile approaching warning technology and UV warning system's developed tendency in overseas and domestic, and analyzed the UV detecting technology's applications in the warning system.This paper analyzed the operational effectiveness of UV warning system in counterworking the tactical missile, and pointed out the importance that UV warning system should be equipped for our army's fighter plane.
