| Millimeter wave with its unique transmission characteristics , occupies an important position in military applications . Electronic warfare , military command and airborne radiation measurements have made high demands on millimeter wave testing technology and equipments . Frequency stability and spectral purity of millimeter wave have a critical influence on precision and accuracy in military communications , reconnoitre , navigation , remote sensing , Telemetry and telecontrol , radar , guidance and deep space exploration .Based on the practical needs of MM integrated testing system , this paper introduces a power/frequency measurement module based on PXI bus to fulfill the signal test requirements . This modular instrument is an important measurement unit for the MM integrated testing system , and it can measure the power and frequency of the signal generated by the microwave module . This paper first introduces the topic's application background , and its meaning , also set forth the objective . After studying the modular power/frequency measurement methods and error theory , analyzing of the system's hardware structure and thorough understanding of the specific design requirements , the author proposed the design principle of power/frequency measurement module based on PXI bus and brought forward the scheme of design in detail . Then according to the focus and difficulties in design , this paper expatiated the PXI design , power measurement circuit design and logic design , frequency measurement circuit design and logic design , synchronous measurement principle of the power and frequency . In addition , this paper discusses the principle of bus communication and logic control in detail . At the end of the paper , author describes the whole system debugging process , and summarizes the problems as well as their solution .The power/frequency measurement module based on PXI bus could complete the power and frequency of the pulse modulation signal's instantaneous measurement . According to the test results , the measurement module can meet the performance requirements , maintenance and examination for MM integrated testing system , and this measurement module has already been put in use . |
