| System of systems is an important feature of the modern warfare. It is indicated by the several regional wars in recent 10 years that the operational effectiveness of the modern weapons has improved comparing to the traditional weapons. Many scholars and experts have been attracted by this phenomenon especially to find the reasons which cause the whole system's operational effectiveness emergency.It is meaningful to analyze and describe the internal behavior rules of the system of systems, but it is very difficult to make an intensive study. Main reasons are as follows:the system of systems is so complicated that its difficulty to use the general mathematical analysis to describe it, and the actual test has difficulties in time, space and funding. Considering the fact that the operational process of system of systems is a complex system, so using the systems theory to research becomes the starting point of this research.Based on this, in this paper, we combine the system theory, modeling and simulation methods with simulation tools to analyze the process of cooperation in armored unit. The content of this paper are as follows:(1) Analyzing the complexity of the military operations system, giving the elements and the relationship in coordinated combat. Describing the cooperation combat process by the Discrete Event System Specification theory (DEVS) and emphasizing the needed factors of the effectiveness in the simulation on the cooperation engagement of the armored unit.(2) Combining with the complex system theory and the method of modeling and simulation, we establish the framework of the equipment warfare simulation system, and then give the entity model and the behavior model in the combat system; finally, we integrate the application models in simulation environment.(3) Setting the cooperation warfare of armored unit as background, combining with modeling and simulation tools, we establish the simulation model of the collaborative combat system and analyze the combat effectiveness by simulation.This paper focuses on the description, modeling and simulation of the process in System of systems cooperation combat and to find the main factors which enhance the operational effectiveness of armored unit in the future. The results of this study are theoretical feasibility and operability which will be a good reference for the automation of command's modeling and simulation. |
