Because of the impacts of the industry system adjustment, governmental policies and changes of urban space, Qingdao Second Textile Mill, as an old manufactory, represents the process of almost 100 years' development of cotton textile industry in Qingdao, and has gradually faced with a whole fate of relocation and demolition. As an industrial sites with great re-usable value and cultural significance, the questions of her future and regeneration become the fundamental purpose of this paper.This article developed from successful experiences in the field of abroad and domestic industrial heritage protect and re-use. By the method of spot investigating and public visiting, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the status quo and surrounding environment of Qingdao Second Textile Mill and took a systematic research to the existing industrial architectural heritage in Qingdao Second Textile Mill. With regeneration strategy as a fundamental starting point, we comprehensively analyses the basic principles of re-use, built a targeted goal of regeneration system and transformation strategies, and probed the feasibility of the implementation in various ways. Finally, a comprehensive summary has been applied to analysis the role of the implementation elements and a number of should-be-noticed questions.
