The automobile Drive Axle is the main parts in the end of automobile's Transmission System which to deliver the motion and bear a certain loading.In engineering vehicles, automobile Drive Axle bearing a more complicated changing work condition. Therefore, in the course of the designing of automobile Drive Axle, designer not only wants to allocate a fitting transmission ratio for automobile Drive Axle, and wants to comprehensive considering the Drive Axle's transmission performance.So,make the Drive Axle has a optimal transmission performance,that can preventing Drive Axle parts damaged or noise and vibration violent,which finally make the Drive Axle rejected early and make the manufacture unqualified.This cause by the problem of Drive Axle transmission performance of the parts horizontal vibration, torsion vibration and acceleration noise aggravate because of Drive Axle System resonance.This paper with HR601 Drive Axle which product by a manufacturer as the research aim,use Virtual Prototype technique,FEM Modal analysis method and experiment method to take deep research for Drive Axle's a series of problem now have been exist. Therefore,we find out the problem key factor of Drive Axle,and give a parts modify suggestion for the manufacturer link up with technics manufacture actuality.First,this paper use UG 3D graphics software to build up Drive Axle model and assemble,get Drive Axle assemble model import to ADAMS according to data convert technique between UG and ADAMS,and set parameter for the model in ADAMS.In the course of parameter set,simulation's authenticity must be consider,and material parameter must identical with applied material in practice.According to Virtual Prototype simulation in ADAMS software, to achieve the Drive Axle's research goal of horizontal vibration and acceleration noise;Secondly,in the base of Virtual Prototype simulation, to apply FEM Modal theory to the Drive Axle parts for Free Modal research,finding out the resonance frequency that may be existed resonance, giving a modify suggestion to combine Virtual Prototype simulation's result with the problem Drive Axle existed now,to provide a theoretical principle for research and verify of experiment;Finally,maked simple experiment research in the base of theoretical research.According to experiment research,not only demonstrated the simulation technique's feasibility in Drive Axle's design and analyze in practice,but also,the experiment can provide a experiment basis for Drive Axle's manufacture,and perfect the experiment installation further.The emphasis of this paper is apply the simulation of computer Virtual Prototype and FEM Modal theory for the excellent or inferior evaluation about Drive Axle transmission performance,and according that make a experiment research,combined computeor simulation with experiment.Research findings manifest that CAE analysis technique can as a basis about this type Drive Axle's design and analysis,and from that popularize to other type Drive Axle transmission performance analysis.Using CAE analysis technique will able to improve the level about Drive Axle's design and analysis remarkably, shorten product's design cycle, reduced product's development costs highly,and improve product's competition.
