Since 1990's,with the development of computer technology,very large scale integrated circuit,communication and network technology, More new technology has been applied in the substation of electric power system.Based on those,substation automation system has got the substantial development and extensive application in electric power system of our country.To increase the market competitiveness of products,All kinds of new good performance,low cost CPU and peripheral devices are applied to the relay and measurement and control device in the substation automatic system by the equipment manufacturers.Such as 32-bit CPU,Digital Signal Processor,high speed and high accuracy analog-to-digital converter,large capacity flash memory,CPLD,FPGA and so on.The application of these new devices,provide the measurement and control device small size and high level of integration.With all kinds of mature commercial RTOS being widely adopted,the device's ability of communication,data memory and process becomes stronger,and performance is highly improved,the software is convenient to be transplanted.With the reference of substation automatic system measurement & control technology of present period and according to the trend and requirement of science and technology,This thesis research a type of high performance measurement and control device based on the ARM and FPGA technique and release the design of hardware and software.Hardware adopts the modular design,including main CPU board,AC Sampling board,digital input board,remote control board,DC sampling and output board.Besides main CPU board,the quantity of others boards can be increased or decreased randomly to meet different user's requirement. Software adopting VxWorks RTOS improves the system performance, using the tasks to manage different function is convenient to write software code.
