On the basis of systematic investigation in the professional literature, this paper selectes Shiwan tunnel in Changsha as the research objects. On the basis of completely collecting of geological prospecting and design information in the project of Shiwan tunnel. Through further geological surveys and tracking tunnel face, from macroscopic and microscopic aspects, basic laws of geological conditions have been mastered, which is as a basis for further study on analysis in advanced prediction and dynamic determination in surrounding rock grade.On the basis of the test, this thesis adoptes research method of experimental comparison, which provides a scientific basis in the construction of the tunnel in front of the hidden danger of geological disasters and determinating the tunnel rock classification. Main conclusions of the work are as follows:1. Various probing methods in the geology forecast for tunnel are summarized systematically, the proper extension and the probing methods are emphasized particularly on, and the status of the TSP and GPR in engineering practice is given prominence to. The basic theories about the TSP and GPR probing are elaborated.2. Take Shiwan tunnel for example, using TSP203 as the analysis method, distributing and scale of the bad geology bodies before the tunnel face 100 meters was predicted, and surrounding rock grade was judged.3. During the advancing process of Shiwan tunnel, using GPR as the analysis method, distributing and scale of the bad geology bodies before the tunnel face 25 meters was predicted, and surrounding rock grade was judged, compared results of TSP and GPR survey and practical project, the probing result has proved very successful.4. This thesis systematically summarizes of underground engineering. Especially expounds on the the methods of surrounding rockmass classification of the design specification of highway tunnel. Take Shiwan tunnel for example, this thesis judges surrounding rock grade of five excavating tunnel faces with some qualitatively and quantitatively combined methods.5. Through the processing and analysis of the test data of TSP203, GPR and dynamic surrounding rocks classification in Shiwan tunnel. The exploration result is consistent with the fact.Thus got the conclusion: the reliability and applicability of the three methods are verified. And on this basis, making analysis on the advantages and disadvantages of the three methods respectively, according to the actual situation and the characteristics of each method, combinationing the various methods, so as to increase the maximum level to determine the accuracy of the surrounding rock.
