With the development of steel structures in China, its main structural system was ripe. Now there are many different kinds of wall plates in our country, however, the external wall plates suitable for the steel structure buildings were few. With the implement of the basic national policy "construction of a resources-conservation-oriented society ", the requirement of building energy efficiency has becoming more and more significantly. The insulation of the external wall is an effective way to realize the building energy saving, now the commonly used methods of external wall's insulation are external insulation and internal insulation of external-wall. In order to achieve green building standards for energy-saving, the wood-plastic boards were filled with insulation layer which had structural maintenance and insulation functions. According to the deficiency of the external walls for steel structures, the researches of this paper included the following components:First, the connection modes of wood-plastic and insulation external wall plate which with hole and without the hole had been designed, taking Qingdao buildings as an example; the connection modes and connector size, the vertical keel and horizontal keel had been determined by calculating, which provided a practical design method of the research for wood-plastic and insulation external wall plate without the hole and with the hole. The single plate and wood-plastic external wall plate without hole and with hole had been numerically modeled by the finite element software ABAQUS, then it analyzed the stress and deflection of wood-plastic and insulation external wall plate and verified the reliability of the design proposals. Then the main node connection patterns had been designed.Second, the hanging force and the optimal way of hanging had been determined and the hanging point's connecting way had been designed by the experiments which were done with three hanging ways. And then the main node connection patterns had been designed. For example, the connecting way between wood-plastic wall plate and steel frame, connecting way of the hole, pipeline layout in wall plate, outdoor air-conditioning installation, partition board layout, connecting way of wallboard between wallboard and wallboard between "L" profile, connecting way of all-slab between non-full plate, and the structure of slope the roof.Finally, referring to the existing nodes and construction methods, it studied the construction methods and construction technology of the system for wood-plastic and insulation external wall plate, discussed the construction preparation, the construction technology, the construction acceptance standards and the points for attention of construction, and concluded the specific construction methods and construction technology of the system for wood-plastic and insulation external wall plate, which provides basis and reference for specific construction.
