Recent research shows that heart rate monitor can be used to evaluate sleep quality. It offers a simple way to analyze dormancy. It can also judge whether the person falls in sleep though testing sleeper's pulse change. This not only guarantees the sleeper's valid dormancy time, but also saves time to the most extent; it not only benefits people's health but also gives people more time to deal with busy work. The paper puts emphasis on hardware equipment development, studies the pulse testing equipment facing dormancy analysis, and designed a valid dormancy testing controller, which has declared the National Invention and has entered the substantive examining stage.The main results are as follows:1. The variability of heart rate during sleeping, the current situation of dormancy monitoring equipment in home and abroad are studied , and chose the pulse testing to analyses dormancy.2. The methods of pulse signal process and the measuring techniques is studied, and brought about the multi-points pulses fusing method. It realizes to distill the largest information and to fuse multi-channels pulse signal to one channel high quality signal which has largest information and a smaller data quantity, it is useful for computing parameters and data storage of pulse.3. A valid dormancy testing controller is designed to monitor the valid sleeping time by testing people's pulse signals to get the information of the beginning and ending time of the valid dormancy. Meanwhile, when it gets the time set in advance by sleeper, which not only guarantees the dormancy quality but also saves time to the biggest extent. Hardware circuit includes pulse sensor circuit, pulse signal process circuit (Signal amplification, Baseline Calibration, 50Hz Notch Filter, Band-pass filter etc.), keyboard input circuit, LED display circuit, voice alarm system based on ISD1420.4. The system's soft wares are designed in assembly language, and the system's reliability and anti-jamming ability are also studied and tested.
