Abstract/Summary:
Under the age of globalization, widely competition is not only existing at the national level, but also between the urban and regional in depth. The present era is an era of cities competing, in which time cities are actively marketing their own and highlighted the city's character. City Museum as the city's business card, for the purposes of creating the image of the city is a very important strategy and its construction has entered a new climax. In the past decade, there are not less than 30 completed city museums and more museums are also to be constructed or in construction, and, therefore, the City Museum of research and summary of the urgent need to strengthen.At present, the Municipal Museum of the social role is not clear. First, we examine the evolution of the social functions of history from the perspective of the historical development, and summary the current role and what must respond to of the City Museum.Secondly, we selected in recent years, built four new representative of the CityMuseum------Beijing Capital Museum, Tianjin Museum, Suzhou Museum, the Xi'anMuseum to research and analysis, with the six aspects of location, style, function, scale, space-flow line, exhibition space, analysis advantages and disadvantages of design.At the same time, we summary the development of the future of the city Museum combining with international trends in the development under the globalization context.Finally, we made a number of Suggestions as reference of design of city Museum in future.
