PLC uses power line to finish the data transmission and information exchange, transmission rate has significantly increased along with the development of modulation,and the PLC has entered the era of high speed.It has already been regarded as one of the main solutions of indoor-network with the Ethernet or the wireless local area network supplemented,PLC can be available in transmitting high speed data,voice,image and so on multimedia service signal,so it has become a sort of broadband access technology for development favor extremely.It has remarkable superiority that needs no new wire,to cover the scope broadly and connection convenience.Since has entered for the 21 st century,along with the breakthrough of the PLC chip technology,its development speeding up obviously,it is facing the practical direction to develop now.Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technology is a kind of modulation technology that realizes high-speed low-voltage power line communication,and it uses a number of mutually orthogonal subcarriers to send information,and that not only improves spectrum utilization but also overcomes the low-voltage power line channel defects effectively and achieves high-speed and reliable data communications.This thesis is mainly to design a Ethernet to power line bridge based on Intellon's advanced INT5500 and INT1200 single-chip power line solution,and make data communication via the low voltage power line available,and design PLCT test software referring to the PLCTest software provided by Intellon to display the total transfer byte count and throughput.After the related theory analysis,the thesis presented the design proposal for the whole system and also made every functional module actualized part by part,and then it introduced the Intellon's Powerpacket technology together with the chips of INT5500 and AC101LKQT particularly.In this paper,it has accomplished the whole designing,hardware making and part debugging,and has obtained some data and experience valuable.According to the design and analyses of the whole paper,it proved that,with the OFDM technology,high-speed communication on the low-voltage power line is really practicable,and it certainly will lead to a more widen application prospect with realistic meaning.
