Lightweight steel dwelling system is made of cold forming light-gauge steel section, welding section and high frequency welding section, who holds most of the weight of lower and tier buildings. Fabricated and board formed lightweight steel dwelling is made of pieces of wall panels, who can bear loads of the whole buildings. Because of all of the wall panels and floorslabs are finished in manufactory, its quality is assuring and very fast to build a house, moreover, the materials are environmental. It has a bright future in our country by reason of it's speedconstruct and excellence in environmental protection.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the mechanical property of this wall panel by its experimental investigations alonging the existing mechanical model. Non-liner finite element analysis is made before experimental investigations in order to guide the experiment. Then, we can contrast the results of the two. In terms of the contradistinctions, we can find the questions of its design, and make it more possible and economical. It is of great importance for the promotion to cut down the cost of this system.It considers that this type of wall panel satisfies the design requirement of this system according to the experimental investigations and the finite element analysis. The length and span can increase in term of the layout because of the margin in load capacity. On the other hand, according to the result of experimental investigations and finite element analysis and the stress got in experiment, the brace in wall panel didn't realize its whole capacity. We should do more research in node between brace and column in order to realize its capacity though the existing node satisfies the carrying capacity of normal buildings.
