There are many structural forms of tall steel structures, but steel fame is the most basic structural form. In conventional analysis and design of steel structures, it is usually assumed that the connections between columns and beams are either rigid or pinned. The analysis of steel frames adopting the assumption can simplify the procedure of analysis and design, but cannot precisely reflect structural practical circumstance and the errors of calculating results are large, even, get incorrect conclusions. Therefore, the influences of semi-rigid connection on steel frame structure are fully taken into account in the analysis and design of steel frame.The present findings of semi-rigid connections, the method for design of beam-to-column connections in the codes from China and other countries, and the character about semi-rigid connections, were briefly introduced in this paper. The M-θ_r relation curve and the computing equations about the initial stiffness and moment capacities of top-seat angle and double web-angle semi-rigid connection were discussed.We design a two-span-three-floor steel frame, which has double web-angle and top-seat angle semi-rigid connection on the base of large quantity of home and alien data, and do the static test of low cycle reverse. Through the analysis of the test data, obtain elastic-plastic behavior of semi-rigid connections steel frame under cyclic loading, The hysteresis property, energy dissipative, ductility, the story drift of this kind of semi-rigid connections are discussed. Moreover, rigid steel frame model also has been established and compared their hysteretic curve and ductility.At the same time, finite element software ANSYS modeling program is used. Through a reasonable and rational set of parameters, effective mesh, the trial of the double web-angle and top-seat angle semi-rigid steel frame and connecting nodes for nonlinear finite element analysis. After compared with the test results, then analysis of the steel frame and connection' load - displacement curve, hysteresis curve, the skeleton curve, stiffness degradation curve, and other related indicators.In addition, considering some other interrelated test of conclusions, we still design nine specimens with double web-angle, top-seat angle and semi-rigid connection using orthogonal test method. Computer simulation of the specimens with ANSYS is given. And analysis of the diameter of high strength friction grip bolt, the thickness of top-seat angle, the distance between flange of beam and angle steel bolts at the centerline which is connected to flange ofcolumn, impact on ultimate strength, hysteretic behavior of the nodes.In this paper, theoretical research and experiment research are both adopted. The outline of this paper is that, on the basis of large experiment data, analysis the mechanical properties of semi-rigid frame and joints, and study the failure mechanism, the force performance, the hysteresis property, energy dissipative, and other seismic performance. In conclusion, after authenticate by the finite element method and compare with some other relevant analysis, give suggestions to design and execution of works. Additionally, put forward the problems, which need to be resolved in this area. |
