Regional Confined Concrete, A newly developed concept based on the research of confined concrete.Regional confined concrete (RCC) was developed based on the research of NCC, but has its own characteristic. The configuration of regional confined concrete tends to divide the column into several individual slender components, and each component has its own longitudinal bars and stirrups and they work together as an integral column by means of adjoining parts. The research project of Regional Confined Concrete Columns under Axial load is one of the RCC research programs, This aims of experiments focus on the failure mode and the load-carrying capacity of these confined columns. Except that, deflections, cracks and relationship of strain and stress are also discussed with the test results.
