Today three-dimensional dynamic image technology has penetrated all sectors of society, polygon models is the general models in CG video fields. Since the expansion of CG markets, the requirement of the improving quality of the polygon models is proposed higher . But the current three-dimensional modeling software provide the backward order that has been unable to meet the social requirements , users who model high-quality models have large work pressure and work inefficiently , and the models has a low degree of esthetics .The interaction of making basic polygon models need for improvement.This paper is based on the interaction of manual making polygonal models as a major study, proposing interaction of base polygon modeling should be natural, humanistic and artistic .The interaction of making basic polygon models is content interaction rather than procedure interaction.The research process is based on systematic theory and the "people-oriented" of industrial design ideas. With ideas of things- reason way, using analysis, compare and other research methods .Through market investigations, I have a large number of first-hand information about modeling basic polygon models.First this article sorts polygon models reasonably, pointing out standards and principles for basic polygon modeling. Then analyzing human factors related to basic polygon modeling, because human is the dominant in modeling. Taking into account the developing way of the interaction, Polygon modeling should be from natural and humanistic process to artistic process. I divide the basic polygon modeling interaction into the procedure interaction and content interaction .Procedures interaction is the basic interaction, and content interaction is senior interaction. That is why the human factors research is divided into two: On the one hand, the human factors related to completing the procedures interaction , including ergonomics analysis, and user psychological information model analysis ,this purpose is to make basic polygon modeling interaction process successfully ;on the other hand, the human factor related to enhancing the quality of the content interaction, which is about the difference between users ,these factors is very important to the construction of humanistic and artistic interaction. Human is connected with computers by the interaction of polygonal modeling .Through analyzing characteristics of polygonal models and user in basic polygon modeling, I point out the principles about interaction of making basic polygon models. Finally, studying the virtual of computer system interface that interaction about modeling are more close to. Pointing out design principles about virtual interface.As a design practice, combining 3D MAX as the most typical and common three-dimensional software, analyzing its existing orders about polygon modeling, in accordance with the relevant theoretical contents of this paper to find the shortcomings and use its own scripting language to write new appropriate polygon modeling commands in order to improve the existing interaction about basic polygon modeling, making it more natural, humanistic and artistic ,and increasing artificial quality and efficiency of basic polygon models.
